Commonly advertised from around $50–100+ per month per terminal as of 2026. Converted to rupees the cost is high, it moves with the exchange rate, and support often sits in another time zone. Check each vendor's current published pricing rather than relying on a range.
4. One-time desktop licences
Pay once and own it — but you also own the risks: no updates, data sitting on one PC, no remote access, and no easy path to changing requirements such as PRA e-IMS fiscal invoicing. Confirm the current PRA notification for what applies to your restaurant category before you buy anything.
What hardware do you need — and what do you NOT need?

Which hidden costs should you watch for?
The subscription is often not the whole bill. Before signing, ask about:
- Per-order or transaction fees. A "few rupees per order" sounds harmless but can overtake the monthly fee at real volume.
- Aggregator commissions. Food-delivery platforms in Pakistan are commonly reported to charge somewhere around 15–35% per order depending on the contract — check your own agreement for the actual rate.
